Retreats at the Yasodhara Ashram
Each September, at the beginning of the choir's year, the group spends a weekend at the wonderful Yasodhara Ashram in Kootenay Bay near Nelson. It's our way of welcoming and integrating new people into the group and setting the stage for the upcoming year, with fun and hard work in the most beautiful natural surroundings and the incredible architecture and acoustics of the Temple of Light.
Corazón is grateful to have received financial assistance for these retreats over the past three years from the Nelson and District Credit Union, the Osprey Foundation, the Regional District of Central Kootenay and the City of Nelson.
